Privacy policy

Last updated: October 22, 2026. This policy describes how STL Pool Cost (stlpoolcost.com) collects and uses information. By using this site you agree to it; the matching-specific terms are in our terms of use.

What we collect

• Quote-request information you submit: pool type, property ZIP code, homeowner status, budget range, timeline, first and last name, mobile phone number, and email address.
• Verification records: whether and when your phone number and/or email address were verified, and the consent timestamp recorded when you checked the consent box.
• Technical information: IP address, browser/user-agent string, the page you submitted from, and anti-spam signals (including Cloudflare Turnstile results). We use these to block bots and SMS fraud — they protect homeowners and builders alike.
• Partial requests: if you start the quote form and enter a phone number but do not finish, we may store the answers entered so far. Those partial records are never delivered to builders.

How your information is shared — one builder, after consent

Your project and contact information is shared with one matched local builder, and only when all of the following are true: you submitted the quote form, you checked the consent box, and your phone number was verified. We do not sell lead lists, we do not share your information with multiple builders, and we do not share partial or email-only-verified requests as paid leads.

The matched builder receives your information to contact you about your pool project. Builders are required by our builder standards to keep it limited to that inquiry.

Text messages and calls (TCPA)

By submitting the form with the consent box checked, you agree that STL Pool Cost and your one matched builder may contact you about your project by phone call and text message, including messages sent with automated technology, at the number you provided. Consent is not a condition of buying anything. Message and data rates may apply; message frequency varies with your project.

We keep a record of each consent: the timestamp, the form version, the page, and the IP address used. Reply STOP to any text to opt out — opt-outs are honored immediately for marketing/follow-up messages. You can also reach us at the contact below to revoke consent.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses privacy-respecting, cookie-light analytics (Cloudflare Web Analytics) to understand which pages help homeowners. We do not run third-party advertising trackers. Session cookies are used only to keep multi-step forms and verification working (for example, remembering that your phone is verified between the calculator and the quote form).

Data retention and security

Verified requests are retained while they are useful for matching, builder billing records, and dispute resolution. Spam and abuse records may be retained as security logs. Access to lead data is limited to the operators of this service and the one matched builder per request.

Your choices

• Opt out of texts any time by replying STOP.
• Ask us to delete your request record by contacting us below; builder billing records already created may be retained as required for accounting.
• You never have to submit the form to use the cost guides or calculator headline estimates.
